Cafe Pascucci, Express Avenue

Cafe Pascucci is the latest Italian fare to enter Chennai and have opened their floors at the Express Avenue Mall! The place is very inviting, with a large seating area with comfortable chairs and a few with sofas and in general looks very elegant.

The menu is pretty limited as far as the food is concerned, but as we found out later, pretty good. We ordered a Italian combo priced at Rs 189, for Chicken Bruschetta, a chicken pasta and fruit salad with ice cream. The portions were stunning, with two large garlic breads (the bruschetta), with loads of chicken, a full sized pasta and pretty decent sized Fruit salad. We also had chicken ham pizza, lasagna and italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was brilliant, with good amount of smoked chicken, the pizza was very tasty but had scanty quantities of the chicken ham, while the lasagna, though tasted good, was not baked fully! We only later found out that there was a pizza combo too, with garlic bread, pizza and rum n raisin roll for Rs 150 onwards. Killer Prices for combos!

Overall, the place is great with good ambiance, prompt service and decent prices! The combo prices are killer and make it a great option!

Food 8/10
Ambiance 8/10
Service 7/10
Price 8/10

Cafe Pascucci is located at the ground floor, just off the lobby from the main entrance of the Express Avenue Mall.

  2. Great to hear that! I loved their italian sandwich too. I only felt that the quantity of meat was tiny on the pizza, but yes, it tasted great!

  5. i went in on Christmas afternoon with my friend looking forward to a good meal, but i got just the opposite. the ambience was fine, the food was ok. but the service was pathetic and the way the management is organized is terrible, i ordered a Caesar's chicken salad, on the menu it said the salad costs 150 rupees but i was billed for 200 and when i questioned the manager about it, he used a very harsh tone on us. i asked him a simple question " how am i supposed to know that the salad costs 200 rupees instead of 150, when it clearly says 150 on the menu card, so is it my fault our yours for not letting me know this before i ordered"? his answer was the dumbest i've heard in quite a while... he said " everybody knows, now pay the full amount" is this how a manager treats customers?? i am never going back to that place and i will make sure none of the people i know go there either.

  6. The same thing happened to me as well, i ordered a pizza and it took 1 and a half hours to reach us, the menu is all messed up, the rates Dont seem to be what they really are, and the food is not that great to be charged at such a price.

    did i read this correct???
i didn't get decent service and i got humiliated by a waiter/ manager for something that is not my fault. i would want to talk to any higher authority about this place and voice out my opinion about what you had put me through.

  9. hi, i am antonio (backpacking across india from italy, full time food lover). A lot of things amazed me in chennai.
On christmas eve i visited Express Avenue, I was in a hurry to visit more interesting places in chennai & wanted to grab a quick bite.
I loved the bangalore cafe pascucci and was very happy to find it in chennai. rather than saying "luckily", i unluckily ended up in this place "Cafe pascucci chennai". the chennai branch is a big disappointment..

the food & even the simple chocolate drinks were not very good. when i told the staff about this i was very suprised to find the service was horrible & there was no respect for a customer. these people who are employed in chennai branch need to learn how to behave. i was sad that they use the italian culture for their name but do not have our respect & warmth for their guests.
