French toast with chantilly cream & maple syrup. The French toast had a rich crumb and it was quite good by itself. The shape & texture of the toast appeared to be made from a brioche & so the serving sizes were hearty. It was served with a pot of Canadian maple syrup & chantilly cream with which the toast was doused liberally, until like a sponge it had soaked up all the sweetness it could manage & the syrup literally oozed out of each forkful.
